Summer Program at Peking University

Dear colleagues,

Please let your students know that Department of History at Peking
University is inviting applications for a four-week long summer
travel-study program.

Participants will spend three weeks on campus to study the Chinese
language, history, and culture, and then spend one week to travel along
the Yangtze River, visiting Sanxingdui near Chengdu, then cruising
downstream passing the Three Gorges, or whatever is left of them.

The Department of History will issue certificates to participants who
successfully satisfy the program requirements, and with the certificates
students can request a credit-transfer at their home universities. This
program offers a better option also because its individualized curriculum
fits the needs of students in different levels and with different
interests, and because its lower fee fits students who have different
budgets for travel-studies.


The program fee is US$3,600, and the deadline for application is March
