Southeast Asia: At the Crossroads of World War II

Southeast Asia: At the Crossroads of World War II (June 26-July 15, 2011) is an NEH Summer Institute open to middle and high school teachers of humanities and school librarians. It examines the historical contexts and strategic aspects of World War II in Southeast Asia. Participants will receive $2,700 in stipends to help with travel, material, and living expenses. Affordable campus housing ($21/nt to $50/nt) and Waikiki hotel rooms ($109/nt) will be available on first-come, first-served basis.

Application deadline: March 1, 2011.
