ChinaVine.org introduces English-speaking children and youth to the cultural heritage of China. This mission is accomplished by scholars associated with the University of Central Florida, the University of Oregon, Shandong University of Art and Design, Beijing Normal University, and the Beijing Folk Literature and Art Association. ChinaVine.org includes a volume that focuses on material culture in ten villages in Shandong Province. A second volume focuses on seven folk artists working in Beijing. In process is a volume that focuses on Miao festivals and village life in Guizhou Province. In these volumes China’s cultural heritage is interpreted through text, audio, photographs, and streaming video created by the partnering universities. ChinaVine.org is fully accessible to visitors with disabilities. ChinaVine.org is licensed through Creative Commons as an open access educational site.
